The sperm recipient process
1.Recipient Registration
- After being evaluated by a doctor, those who need to donate sperm should come to the hospital for registration and consultation.
- After registration, they need to pay the donor's health assessment fee (blood type, infectious diseases, genetic diseases, etc.) and sperm freezing fee.
2.Waiting for pairing
- The matching time is about 1 to 3 months, and some conditions may be increased or decreased (such as special blood type).
- Under the same conditions, the order of registration time will be based on the recipient's registration time.
3.Document handling
- Medical institution certificate - Apply for information on relatives within the fourth degree of kinship at the household registration office.
- Notarized form - Go to the local court to confirm that you are a legal couple.
4.Data review
- After the matching is completed, the information will be sent to the National Health Administration for review (about 1 to 2 months).
- After the review is completed, a dedicated person will notify you and provide you with treatment instructions.
5.Payment and Signature
- At this time, you need to pay the donor's treatment and nutrition fees and sign a consent form.
6.Enter the treatment
- According to the treatment course recommended by the doctor, my wife returned for a follow-up visit on the 2nd or 3rd day of her menstrual cycle (the day with the heaviest flow) to start the treatment.
Eligible recipients of sperm donation
- Azoospermia, where the testicles cannot produce sperm normally due to some factors.
- Those who lack healthy sperm due to surgery, chemotherapy, infection, etc.
- Those who have genetic diseases or carry abnormal genes and want to avoid passing them on to the next generation.
The egg recipient process
1-1.Registration and payment
- Register for egg recipient after evaluation by a physician.
- Go to the Reproductive Center Consultation Room to register for the recipient.
- Pay the egg donor health assessment and matching fee of NT$50,000 (non-refundable)

Proof of identity
- If both spouses are Taiwan residents, both national ID cards are required, and the marriage registration card must be on the back.
- If one spouse is a Taiwan resident, both national ID cards are required. Foreigners must have two documents, passport and foreign ID (such as driver's license, foreign ID card, etc.).
- If both spouses are foreigners, both must have two documents (passport, foreign ID).

Marriage certificate
- To register your marriage in Taiwan, please bring the original national ID cards of both spouses, with the marriage registration on the back.
- If one of the spouses is a foreigner, please bring the household registration book and the foreigner's ID card.
- If you did not register your marriage in Taiwan (there is no spouse's name on the back of the ID card), remember to get your marriage certificate notarized at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office before coming to Taiwan.

Certificate from a medical institution
The doctor-in-charge must issue an appointment ticket to the outpatient department and it must be stamped with the doctor-in-charge’s seal and the hospital’s official seal.

Four Kinship Table
Take the medical institution certificate issued by the doctor and go to the household registration office to apply for a fourth degree relationship table of the couple receiving the surgery (one copy).

After completing the four copies of the consent form
provided by the Reproductive Center, the couple goes to the "local statutory notary agency" in person for notarization, and submits one original copy of the notarized consent form (valid for six months) to the hospital.

- Waiting for reply approval, Entering IVF treatment.
2.Embryo culture
Treatment process
- Notify recipient of successful pairing, Cash payment required: NT$200,000(Including donor treatment and egg retrieval costs).
- Reproductive center provides sperm collection tank.
Egg retrieval day

Submit specimen
You need to cooperate with the donor's egg retrieval time and go to the IVF room to hand in your husband's sperm at 8:30 am on the day of egg retrieval.

Payment
The recipient will pay the final payment of about NT$60,000on the day of egg retrieval. (Semen processing, insemination, embryo culture and freezing fees, credit cards accepted)
Ask about embryo status
- Call at the agreed time to inquire about the number of fertilized embryos and embryo freezing status.
- Go to the 6F IVF room on the day of the follow-up consultation to collect the embryo freezing record card.
Implantation treatment
- Follow-up consultation to arrange thawed embryo implantation treatment
3.Transfer process
- Start taking endometrial adjustment medication within three days of the menstrual cycle.
- Follow up the endometrial thickness at the agreed time. Give luteal phase medication supplements and arrange for thawed embryo implantation
- 2 weeks after embryo implantation, return for blood test for pregnancy.
In which situations should egg donation be considered?
- Infertility caused by ovarian decline or loss due to advanced age or unknown reasons.
- Those who have failed to conceive after three consecutive IVF treatments due to failure to obtain eggs, poor quality eggs, or no embryos available.
- Those whose ovaries do not develop normally due to congenital diseases.
- Those who have lost their ovulation function due to infection, surgery, immune factors or chemotherapy.
- Genetic diseases that cannot be treated by preimplantation genetic diagnosis.
